Women Build: Plumbing Basics

March 11, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

On Tuesday, March 11 Women Build Workshop participants will learn basic residential plumbing, including the theory of drainage systems and water distribution, as well as how to do basic plumbing tasks like unstopping clogs and repairing faucets and toilets. You will also learn the difference between a closet auger, plunger, and hand snake, and when to use each.

Space is limited for this no-cost workshop, and preregistration is required. Attendees will be asked to sign a waiver upon registration.

The health and safety of Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity homeowners, volunteers, staff and community is a top priority. We continue to follow the recommendations of the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department and are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation.

Hand washing stations are available on our construction sites, and hand sanitizer is accessible both in the office and at the Habitat Stores. We are regularly disinfecting community-use spaces and encourage frequent hand washing. Employees and volunteers alike are encouraged to stay home if they are sick.

Please join us in promoting a healthy environment.
