With few exceptions, 16 is the minimum age for volunteering with Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity. To get involved, attend a New Volunteer Orientation as the first step. Following an orientation and successful background check, teens will be able to sign up for opportunities on the construction site or in the Habitat Stores.
High school students wishing to volunteer as a group can usually be accommodated, depending on our construction schedule, but all students participating must be at least 14 years old.
Youth under 14 are encouraged to consider making snacks or lunches and bringing for volunteers.
