As an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, Tacoma Habitat’s construction and renovation sites are a safe space where all are welcome. Federal law has prohibited housing discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity only since 2021. In our second annual Pride Build, we continue to raise awareness about housing discrimination against LGBTQ+ individuals with four days of building on Habitat for Humanity’s Pierce County construction and renovation sites in July.
