Habitat for Humanity is a volunteer-driven organization.
Beginning in December 2021, we will open a limited number of individual volunteer slots in construction in addition to Store opportunities.
If you have volunteered with us previously or attended a New Volunteer Orientation, you can log in to your Volunteer Hub account and sign up for shifts at any time. Please be patient – shifts will be added gradually and may not be available every week.
Remember: If you are new to volunteering with us, you must attend a New Volunteer Orientation before signing up for a shift.
If you have lost your Volunteer Hub log-in information, or are unsure whether or not you have one, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We welcome people from all walks of life to join us in building decent, affordable houses in partnership with future homeowner families, or to work a shift at the Habitat Store.
There is always room on our crew for a willing spirit, and no experience is necessary to help change lives*.
A few times a year, special volunteer opportunities crop up – like providing snacks or meals to volunteer groups on the build site or helping at one of our fundraising events. If you’d like more information about these kinds of volunteer activities, please contact Volunteer Services at email@example.com.
Volunteer time commitments vary; some volunteers dedicate every day to Habitat (we call them “regulars”) and others spend just a few hours each month.
No matter the frequency, all volunteers contribute to the construction of decent, affordable homes.
*Please be aware that Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity is unable to sign off on court-ordered community service hours.
