Join us at The Grand Cinema for the next installment of the Habitat Film Series: If You Build It. Doors open at 6:00 pm and film begins at 6:30 pm.
It’s pick-your-own-admission pricing, with a suggested donation of $10 at the door.
This documentary follows designer-activists Emily Pilloton and Matthew Miller to the poorest county in in North Carolina where they help high school students transform both the community and their lives. The year-long, full-scale design and build project does much more than just teach basic construction skills: it shows ten teenagers the power of design-thinking to re-invent not just their town but their own sense of what’s possible.
A panel discussion will follow the film, featuring local organizations working with youth to design and build a better future.
