DESCRIPTION:Our next Women Build construction opportunity is coming up on Saturday\, June 17 at Madison Meadow.  \nThere is room for 15 volunteers and no experience is needed. Our female construction staff and crew chiefs are glad to teach you everything you’ll need to accomplish the task(s) at hand. \nPre-registration is required and you can sign up here. Women Build days are extremely popular\, and we often have a waitlist. Due to this\, we ask that if you are unable to attend your registered shift you please cancel in our system. SUMMARY:Juneteenth Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Join Pathways to Homeownership Coordinator Samantha and our partners at Tacoma Urban League for the Juneteenth Celebration: A Road to Economic Freedom. \nThe Juneteenth festival will host over fifty vendors from trade associations\, local businesses\, non-profits\, and finance with a goal to create an opportunity for economic growth and set a path for financial stability within the BIPOC community. The festival will also include a main stage filled with amazing performances and speakers\, an interactive kid’s zone and stage\, face painting and a playground. The Miss Juneteenth Pageant/Scholarship Program for young people in grades 9-12 will also be held during the festival. \nWe hope to see you at Stewart Heights Park!
