SUMMARY:First Time Homebuyer Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Join Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity and Fairway Mortgage for the Washington State Housing Finance Commission class for first time homebuyers*. This class is key to preparing for homeownership—whether with Habitat for Humanity or on the open market. \nTaught by Jay Staples of Fairway Mortgage and Deena Giesen of Tacoma Habitat\, the two-day class will be held via Zoom from 4:00-6:30 PM each day. Both days are required for certification. \nIn addition to completing the Washington State Housing Finance Commission’s First-time Homebuyer’s Class*\, we will cover the importance of a monthly spending plan\, how to get out of debt\, and strategies to save for homeownership.
