Following are the eligibility requirements for the City of Tacoma Home Repair Program:
Applicant must own and occupy the home
Home must be within Tacoma city limits
Willingness to partner - Inform the office of changes in family situation (income, family size, contact information)
Living conditions must be substandard (i.e., repairs are necessary to make the housing safe, decent, and affordable)
Household Income Requirements
Household income includes all gross income (before taxes) from all current sources - employment, social security, dependents who receive social security, disability, pension, child support, alimony, unemployment, etc.
Liquid assets must be less than $30,000
Non-liquid assets must be less than $100,000
Total household income must not exceed 80% of the area median income (see chart below)

Applicants who are slightly outside of the income guidelines are encouraged to apply if all other criteria are met, as income limits are subject to change.
