Application Process

Note: We are not currently accepting applicants for any of our home repair programs.

If you are interested in applying for the City of Tacoma Home Repair Program:

  1. Call 253-627-5626 and ask to speak with someone in the Home Repair department to complete a pre-screen.
  2. If the program seems to be a good fit we will mail you an application.
  3. Submit the application and required verification documents.
  4. Habitat staff will process the paperwork to determine household income. A credit report will be pulled to review payment history over the past year.
  5. Habitat staff will visit you at your home to assess the needed repair.
  6. A Scope of Work will be developed based on the assessed home repair needs.
  7. Your application will be submitted to the Tacoma Community Redevelopment Authority.
  8. If approved for the program, Habitat staff will call you to discuss the next steps.
