Overview

Habitat for Humanity builds simple, decent houses in partnership with low-income families. Habitat offers a hand up, not a handout. An average Habitat house requires monthly payments of about $700 to cover the mortgages, taxes, and insurance. Habitat makes no profit and charges zero interest on the mortgage loan. Habitat for Humanity invests the mortgage payments in the building of more houses.

Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity serves all of Pierce County. The affiliate includes the Gig Harbor / Key Peninsula chapter.
