Below is a typical workday schedule for a Habitat for Humanity build. We ask that all volunteers arrive on time and stay all day. This increases efficiency and productivity on the worksite. You will be amazed at how fast the day will go by. The Volunteer Manager and Site Managers are willing to work with you if this is a problem.
8:45 - 9:00 am: Volunteer Sign-in.
9:00 - 9:15 am: Site Directors lead the safety demonstration and discuss the tasks of the day. Volunteers are assigned to a Crew Chief.
9:15 - 10:15 am: Begin work on assigned tasks.
10:15 - 10:30 am: Snack time.
10:30 - 12:30 pm: Continue work on assigned tasks.
12:30 - 1:00 pm: Lunch.
1:00 - 3:00 pm: Finish the day's work on the house.
3:00 - 3:30 pm: Clean-up time to assure that tools are put away and the worksite is clean and safe for the next day's work.
