Building Hope in Tacoma Since 1985

Habitat for Humanity has been building in Tacoma since 1985, and as of December 2009, 169 homes have been completed in partnership with families in need. We currently have 3 houses under development in Tacoma.

 

Salishan: Habitat for Humanity is partnering with the Tacoma Housing Authority to bring affordable homeownership opportunities to THA's redevelopment of the Salishan neighborhood.  Habitat for Humanity will build 9 new houses in Salishan. If you knew the Salishan of the last 50 years, you certainly will know that THA, Habitat for Humanity, and Quadrant Homes are bringing new life to this neighborhood. Recently Completed Projects

Reynolds Park: Habitat for Humanity completed this 16 house development in March 2009.

Larabee Terrace: . Due to the slope of the site, Habitat installed retaining walls to create building sites for 12 affordable houses. Habitat completed all 12 houses in December of 2009.. Our first Insulated Concrete Forms and Solar house were built at Larabee Terrace. Click here for a map to this location.
