Youth Programs - Collegiate Challenge

Collegiate Challenge is Habitat for Humanity’s year-round alternative break program that provides opportunities for students from youth groups, high schools and colleges to spend a week of their school break building a house in partnership with a Habitat for Humanity affiliate in the United States.

A Collegiate Challenge trip may be the best school break trip you will ever have. Not only do you help people in need — it’s also fun! You’ll have the chance to improve your carpentry skills, connect with new people in a new place and put your faith into action by making a real difference in Habitat for Humanity’s work of eliminating substandard housing.

Meal Sponsorship

We are in need of food sponsors for our remaining groups. There are opportunities to provide meals Monday - Friday for the students visiting Tacoma. If you are interested in providing breakfast, lunch, or dinner for our remaining Collegiate Challenge groups, please call Volunteer Services at 253-627-5626.

These schools came out for the 2009 Collegiate Challenge:

March 2-6: Lycoming College

March 9-13:Jamestown College & University of New England

March 16-20: Montana State University, University of Bridgeport, St. Lawrence University, & University of Alabama

March 23-27: University of California - San Diego

March 30- April 3: University of Montana

The current schools are scheduled

for 2010 Collegiate Challenge:
