In an effort to raise awareness about the need for affordable housing in Pierce County, and to provide the youth in our community with a tangible way to help, we at Habitat are preparing for THE HOUSE THAT STUDENTS BUILT! Funds for this house will be raised by students, and there will be many opportunities for students to participate during the build.
It takes many volunteers to finish a house, and all the pieces are important! From fundraising to framing a house - there are many ways to be a part of this event. Planning for the house is getting started, and we need you to make it happen!
Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity invites you to participate in an exciting building project called The House that Students Built. We are inviting high school and college students throughout Pierce County to share their time, talents, and energy to partner with Habitat for Humanity.
The House that Students Built was completed in July 2007. Thank you to the local schools, universities, and Collegiate Challenge groups for their work on The House that Students Built. The groups included:

Please call Cassandra Jarles at 253-627-5626 for more information on this project. We are considering a Youth United house in 2010.
